For those fiction authors: self-publishing houses

Does anyone have any favourite self-publishing places to go with? I'm at the stage where I'm trying to assess how much funds I'll need to ask for on Kickstarter. I've looked at Lulu, Createspace, Smashwords, and Dog Ear Publishing. So far Createspace is in the lead, but I'm wondering if anyone has any dealings with any of these companies or any others. Thanks!
