Hey KickStarters,
I'm looking at my campaign and i noticed there are 2 external sites that have sent some conversions to our KickStarter
http://www.kickspy.com/projects/ageek/l ... o-training http://www.kicktraq.com/projects/ageek/ ... -training/both together created 3 funding and i was wondering has anyone on the group put ads on either site and had good results? there is a minimum of 7 days in one i was thinking to test it out for 2-3 days but as i don't have that option its a bit of a bigger buy in so wanted to know what you guys think.
Thanks!
Ben

First, congrats of getting your funding! That's a huge step!
What's the cost of delivering your rewards? It seems like it is just a digital class (ie. no human interaction), correct?
Since you are already funded, you should consider:
A: do you NEED the extra exposure? A lot of times, campaigns will get REALLY big, which is great, but then it makes it much harder for the creator to manage fulfillment and post-campaign activities.
B: Do you make more than $10/day in pledge profit? Not actual pledges. But rather the profit you will be getting from the pledges needs to be larger than the amount you put into the advertising. Pretty simple.
Hope that helps.

Did you set up accounts or post your project to both sites?

no it happened automatically. i was happy to see traffic from them. i'm just wondering how big are these platforms.
my question wasn't about spending and if i have the capital. as if you don't spend some times you don't make. as we need more funds to fund the future and growth of our product its about getting more people to know about it.
just don't want to spend money on ads that don't work(did that to many times in life)
i think once your kickstarter goes live it will be listed there as well.

02geek: Did you advertise? Did it help?

I bought an ad on Kickspy for 12 days. Zero referrals. I raised 0/$9,700 from Kickspy.
My thoughts: Anyone who can go to kickspy/kicktraq can also go to Kickstarter. Backers probably spend more time on Kickstarter. The offshoot sites are just an extra layer, with a few tools that are of interest to project creators. Unless a site adds something that increases the audience, it's probably not going to do much for your backers.
That said, my first project did get backing ($240/3400) from kicktraq without any ad.
