Combining other campaigns with Kickstarter

So, currently, for the campaign of African Clean Energy and the ACE 1, we are running a few things:

- A thunderclap campaign (http://bit.ly/ACE1thunderclap)
- A Oneplanetcrowd campaign (a dutch crowdfunding campaign, http://bit.ly/ACE1crowdNL)
- A Kickstarter campaign (http://bit.ly/ACE1kickstarter)
- A campaign called Cook4cooks, where (sometimes famous) chefs cook on the ACE 1, and which is somewhat similar to the ice bucket challenge, will start soon.

How do you guys feel about this? What are your experiences with running different campaigns towards the same goal? I am really trying to improve our campaign, and any suggestions are welcome...

In my experience, it's very difficult if not impossible to run more than one crowdfunding campaign. I think you can do a thunderclap and a crowdfunding campaign manageably. It also depends on the size of your staff/network and the product. Wrote a blog post on this a little while ago: http://www.crowdcrux.com/running-multip ... campaigns/

Thank you, that was a very interesting piece! It is sad I did not have much of a say in this, since my choice would be to simply run one campaign (because of course you also have to divide your backers between the campaigns, therefore reducing the success of both).

Anyway, thank you for the information! I think it's a great article, and I'd love to see some more experiences from others...

Despite the mistakes made in the past, I hope that we can lift people's interest for our kickstarter, especially with our Oneplanetcrowd campaign being funded already...

Yea, would also like to hear what others have experienced if they've tried running multiple campaigns simultaneously.
