Media Interest in EdTech Startup Crowdfuning?

Hey all,

Read a great tip about using image searches to find press that was interested in kickstarters similar to yours.

Unfortunately, there are very few EdTech startups crowdfunding, so this didnt do much for us. We're about 20% funded after first 3 days, but I've blasted everyone and am going to need outside attention and coverage to get us there. Any tips on drumming up media/press coverage, specifically for an edtech startup kickstarter?

Look for EdTech bloggers on twitter and reach out. That's how we've found most of our success with media coverage. We've had one post published so far and are expecting 3 more within the week...really hoping they come through!

@jdbelsterling - Ways to create a media list:

1. Compile a list of similar campaigns and put them through this research process: http://www.crowdcrux.com/how-to-researc ... campaigns/

2. Use BuzzSumo to discover which people are sharing news on edtech and which publications are getting lots of shares on social media: http://www.crowdcrux.com/buzzsumo-revie ... each-list/

3. Google alerts to keep track of publications writing about the topic.

4. Paid discovery tools like Inkybee to get a list of bloggers in particular niches.
