Getting link to Kickstarter Page prior to launch

Hello All,
I'm new to this forum and to crowdfunding... so I apologize if this is a silly question, but I can't seem to find the answer. I just received approval from Kickstarter to launch my project whenever I'm ready. We are targeting a launch on September 29th and I want to start sharing the link with my network. However, the only link I can seem to find that works is the preview link.
So two questions: 1) will the preview link convert to the actual link once the site is live?
2) Is it possible to get the actual link to my campaign page before I launch?

I'm not 100% sure on this but I'm pretty sure the actual link isn't generated until you launch. To answer your question, I don't think you can get the actual link before you launch and the preview link will not convert. You'll need to send a new link to everyone.

That's what I was afraid of. So what do most people do then? I can't imagine people wait until the campaign begins... do they?

Yup. Still working on my first one but I've done a lot of research. Day 1 is a whirlwind. If you're targeting a lot of people via email, you might want to try Boomerang (
http://www.boomeranggmail.com/). With this, you can schedule emails to go out whenever you want. For example, you could write all the emails the day before and have it send them right as you launch. That way you can spend your time promoting other ways on launch day.

Mail Chimp is great for mass emails but often it's worth the time and effort to personalize emails. I think I'm going to try and avoid mass messages for my campaign.

Yes, the preview link will redirect upon launch. See this thread:

Not that I'm aware of. Your preview link will redirect though.
