What are the best ways to get a hold of the press in order to try to gain some popularity for a campaign? Is it via email? In that case, should I be emailing the editors or journalists or....?? As far as utilizing bloggers, does anyone know of any blogs that are written around concepts like motivational tools or making people smile?

I think promoting Kickstarter campaigns and Etsy seller shops have a lot in common. I would recommend checking out their Etsy Seller's Handbook for a lot of really great articles.

Especially this one (and the related links at the bottom)

I've found email to be the best way, but you can also get their attention via social media and press releases.

Regarding finding publications, I'd look up BuzzSumo. I did a review of them on my blog. It's a free tool and you can use it to find people and publications that are writing about particular topics, filter by keywords, time, etc.

Buzzsumo seems full of useful information once you know how to use it. What a crazy journey we are on! I am learning so much from my first project!

Buzzsumo really helped me to start using key phrases in my social media campaign. I'm learning alot as I go with this too! I think I jumped into the pool with what I thought was knowledge on crowdfunding, but I'm learning to swim fast the hard way! :)

Hi, what do you mean by saying "start using key phrases in my social media campaign"?

Thanks
