A Question about Rewards

Hi,
Just a quick question as i am writing the 'Rewards' copy.
I find that the reward structure is often very boring - Reward 1, Reward 2 & Reward 1, Reward 3 & Reward 2 & Reward 1 etc, etc, etc - you get the point!
Is it better to follow this tried and tested track? Or to make your rewards individual? Or a bit of both?
Cheers,
Andy

FWIW we are structuring rewards as individual. Constantly trying to rework them to provide the best 'value', T-Shirts, DVD etc are great but may not work for our high $$$ donors. For higher $$$ we are creating value by providing tangibles. For example, a week at our family condo in Miami. or Director and Lead actor will cook for a group of 8 or learn film making at fraction of cost. Shadow our Producer/Director on a slew of Pre-prod, Prod activities including casting, script breakdown, retaining talent/crew, negotiating locations etc. Time will tell if these work.

I don't necessarily think the structuring of rewards (early birds or bundling) is what makes them compelling. I think coming up with unique and exciting individual rewards that involve backers is the hard part. In some ways, you can replicate other campaigns in your niche that have cool ones, but I think there aren't many campaigns that are so generic you can copy all of the reward ideas and also keep them compelling.

@prichheda I am leaning more towards individual rewards rather than bundles - and some of our high $$$ rewards are so individual that they don't work with a bundle
@sal Interesting and individual rewards is a tough call, but I think that we have come up with a set of rewards that will interest most people who have an interest in music! But then we have a specific reward, which will be of most interest to the orchestra members, that i am going to early-bird so that we get the push at the start that most successful campaigns need.

I think it is better if you can make it even more interesting, but make sure it works well because in your experiment you may disappoint people with your reward and they not fund you.
