I'm planning on writing a more in-depth post on this, but I just wanted to share this new cool (and free) tool I discovered. It's called BuzzSumo: http://buzzsumo.com/

You can search key terms and it will bring up lists of publications or influencers and you can filter by time (one week or month ago). It also gives you the page ranks of the sites and the social media size of the influencers. Quick and dirty way to develop a media list!

It's a little bit of a more light weight tool than InkyBee.

I also have put together a few media lists for the crowdfunding space if you wanted to get an idea of who is in the industry.

Glad it's helpful! I just did a review of BuzzSumo yesterday . It's a ridiculously helpful tool and is free. Surprised it's still free, I imagine they will release a premium version soon or start charging.
