I want my kickstarter to be featured somewhere to get attention, how does one do that?

I looked for space bloggers and astronomy bloggers, but haven't had any response yet. I tweeted out to a bunch today, we will see if that has any response.

I have yet to run a kickstarter campaign myself, but have you tried Crowfunding PR? I imagine your product would appeal more towards kids, so I would get a Facebook page, if you don't have one already, and run Facebook ads through their ad manager. You can target age, interests, and geographic location. I've been told that you need to do a lot of prep work before actually launching. This includes having a good list of bloggers contacted a few weeks before you launch your kickstarter project. Actually, I heard this from the Kickstarter Meet Up Group. You're in San Diego as well, right? You should check it out.

Are you building a relationship with them or just telling them you want publicity? Try the former and then ask for publicity and you might have more success.
