Kickstarter Rewards Order Fulfillment Companies

Has anyone considered using an order fulfillment for their Kickstarter?

Fulfillrite has partnered with us on CrowdCrux several times - I can vouch for them.

I've heard mixed reviews about Shipwire. Just curious if anyone has used them and has any definitive review?

A fan notified me of some negative comments on their FB page, which they've seemed to removed?

This quora post also has some negative comments.

"My company experience working with Shipwire was TERRIBLE! "

I'm sure they also have happy customers, it's just hard to gauge.

The publisher I'm targeting takes care of this for so I was lucky there. This looks more like a convenience than anything but I don't know much about fulfillment sites and how they operate.

Cool. They basically help you coordinate delivery of your rewards. Amazon also has fulfillment services.

I looked into a bunch of them when I did my first KickStarter ($150k raised), but decided they were all too expensive. The issue for project managers is that the logistics can get complex, so given that I am a an old-school programmer, I decided to build my own app to handle crowdfunding project management and fulfillment.

The truth is, once you have organization and processes, fulfillment is work but it is not *hard*.

I am going to be releasing it to the community this fall, but one of my current project backers suggested that I do a KickStarter for it, which is so delightfully recursive that I couldn't resist. I'll post about it soon.

@madoverloard - Awesome! Did you also look into BakerKit? https://backerkit.com/

Look forward to seeing your app.

@sbriggman: I looked into BackerKit at some length but for what I wanted to do, it seemed too limited. One of the nice things about doing a FIleMaker application is that if you really need to, you can get under the hood and implement a custom solution to your particular problem (though I've abstracted out a lot of the business logic so that most people will be able to customize it without actually having to have the FileMaker app).

You can preview the kickstarter here: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/ma ... n=0e481008

It has a link to a recent version of the manual.

Oh interesting.. Glad I stumbled on this post. I'll have to checkout all of these companies. I have yet to run a kickstarter campaign, but I imagine the company I would go for would be the one that is easy to integrate with the software you currently use. I hear, from the Shipwire rep, that they can integrate with over 70 different software eCommerce platforms. I still have to verify which software though.
