@cuisire - this is such an interesting idea! I love your website -- although I do find it a bit cluttered visually. Not a web designer, mind you, so it's purely an aesthetic thing for me.

As for your campaign, I would have liked to se a clear description of what CulSire is at the very beginning -- and as succinctly as possible. If you could describe CulSire in 15 words or less, how would you describe it. That may grab the reader to continue. Honestly, your YouTube video would be ideal as your plea video! It's so well-produced and clear about what you do!

Thank you for also giving me feedback on my project. I'm hoping to address the clutter when my campaign funds! I'm no web designer either, and all that you see is the work of this one little lady. I need professionals! LOL

I was thinking about changing the first out to the promo video but I didn't think it covered enough information.

Your video is very good and I think the format of your kickstarter campaign is good. What lets it down, in my opinion, is that the project seems too ambitious and large (and yes, I am aware that you need a team to help you hence the Kickstarter) for just yourself while at the same time being fairly exclusive in your target audience, eliminating a proportion of the backers on Kickstarter. For example, how would I (a white British female) benefit from this project being successful? There is a mention towards this at the end of the video, but I think it needs to be a bit earlier and highlighted in the text of the campaign. Good luck.

It is obvious you are passionate about what you do and about this work. It isn't clear what you book will contain. Is it just your story? Can it help other teachers? Can it help anyone who interacts with or teachs children including parents? The other thing that is not very clear is how the money will be spent. you provide a brief bit at the end but it still wasn't particularly clear in my mind.

Why do you want a print version of the book? I looked into self publishing on Amazon last year and the cost was much less than the goal of your project.

Can you provide any excerpts of your writing? Maybe an anecdote you have written about? You say the book is complete but have not shown any evidence for this.

Thank you for taking the time to look at and review my Kickstarter campaign. It is much appreciated.

I believe WE ALL benefit from my project being funded because the truth, in my opinion, will have an avenue to be told. I don't feel that the current media gives an accurate depiction of the community and culture and I know and love. I believe the images that are presented taint the interactions that we have with the rest of the world. You as a white British female would benefit by acquiring a better, dare I say truer, understanding and realization of African American culture and way of life.

I agree with the points you are making and your aim. What I am critiquing is the project as presented to a potential backer, not your ultimate goals or the aim of widening perception for a particular culture.
