Kickstarter book project had a strong start but has stalled.

My project is a book called "Teaching on the Edge".

It had a strong start and Sidekick gave it a 97% chance of being fully funded. The pledges have stalled and I have 19 days to go with 10% funded. I have even received a message from a publisher (via the campaign page) who is interested in publishing if it does not fully fund.

Even so, I want to get the original momentum back. Suggestions? Comments? Corrections?

I'm kind of in the same spot right now, but I'm planning to do a big push for tomorrow's mid point. Hopefully that will stir things up!

I think contacting blogs might work, the dreaded mid-canpaign doldrums is the hardest part of running a campaign. If both of you have to relaunch, please use www.pitchfuse.com so you can generate prebuzz.

@storybox. See that you're in LA. Have you considered going to any meetup.com events to pitch the idea?

Hey - I don't know anything about them, but I will check them out for sure!

Hey there. How do I set up a contest on my PitchFuse? I went to the button on the home page but when I fill eveything out I keep getting a pop-up box with an error message "Issue saving project content". Am I missing something? Thanks!

Wheryaat,
Sal and Vaportstarter both founded Pitchfuse, I am sure one of them will respond shortly, hang tight.

I think Sam's meet up idea is great. I have a tentative mid April launch date set for my third campaign. One goal is to do meatspace outreach and try to find a local San Diego venue to host a one night art event, where I will create live and offer examples of the work. But to test this idea, I will not sale anything at the event. I will only accept pledges from people I meet. It may be a bust, or it may work, but something has to be done to combat the middle of campaign slump that slows down most projects.

Thanks InfiniteHorizonsUly. I redid my plea video and hope maybe it's better now. If you have the chance to check it out, I'd appreciate any feedback. Still no nibbles for a week now, though. Sent out more e-mails today as well.

This usually happens mid campaign. Have you tried to reach out to new avenues of exposure that you may not have accessed before, blogs etc?
