Hello.

Is it possible to lower your overall goal after the project is live?

Thank you.

Hi, on Kickstarter you can't adjust pledge goal once you're launched. You'd need to cancel your project then create a new one.

How close is your project to completion?

Hello.

Thank you for your reply.

I plan to launch in the next week or so.

I see lots of people adding Paypal Donations to their project. I was thinking that if I did this, it would be nice to lower the my main goal after each donation to help towards funding the project.

If you're planning to launch the campaign in the next few weeks, I'd recommend creating a page on PitchFuse.com to gather some initial support.

Hmm... personally, I wouldn't recommend someone to do this unless they failed their campaign and don't intend to relaunch or have finished and in an update, want to offer backers a way to continue to support. I would just focus on getting as many pledges as possible and providing good rewards to backers.

Hello.

Thank you. I joined that site.

Since changing the fund amount is not an option, I will not be using paypal this way.

Yes, LAUNCH IT ON PITCHFUSE NOW!!

This new site will add an entire new dimension to crowdfunding. I feel, by June 2014, some very well crafted campaigns with people hired who only study the metrics of social media promotion and daily craft their marketing to what gets most traction until they can drive the pledges will start to take place.

Why?

Kickstarter released this figure, $448 million dollars was pledged in 2013.

Big Business will not understand that this does not mean that we as crowdfunders, received $448 as a group. This just means that is how much was pledged, not received for half of that was sent back to the backers when the project failed to fund. But, Big Business will look at that as a huge slice of the pie that we newbies and bumpkins do not deserve. I could be wrong, but slick and team based campaigns with actual marketing budgets of around 15k for the life of the campaign will soon be the norm. I am just speculating here, but my crystal ball is often right.

Any tool individual (or teams of friends and family--not people hired that the creator has no personal relationship with, this is already happening, but I fear it will grow tremendously) creators can use that gives them more visibility is VITAL.

I have months of work to do to ship my rewards and build my website. But I will give myself a month if not more, of pre-launch marketing.

Please do the same.
