How to get help and not just wait for the compl. product?

We have a product that people want: a dislike button. But the problem is: how to change these people who say “Cool idea, I’d definitely want to use that” to real supporters who would spread the word on social media and back us with $1? Most people just want the completed product and they don’t care to help by spreading the word etc. Does anyone have similar experiences?

Well software crowdfunding is inherently difficult. I wrote about this recently: http://www.crowdcrux.com/do-software-ca ... ckstarter/

Why do you guys need money? Why don't you just grow the user base organically and hack out a minimum viable product of the dizzlike profile?

Hey Sal,
your article is familiar, thanks for mentioning us! I also commented on it but somehow I can’t see my comment there anymore.

Our funding goal is low so we don’t need a lot of money. But it would be nice to pay at least the electric bill :D

Strange. Could you try resubmitting the comment?

Haha, yea. I was involved with four software startups in the past, so I definitely empathize with the huge time investment and difficulty of gaining traction/making money with the product.
