Projects that collected leads on Facebook?

Hello,

I am considering running paid ads on Facebook to collect leads to build my email list. Are you familiar with projects that have done this before? If you know any, I would be glad if you could share with me a few names. This will help me to study them.

The only Facebook ads I have seen so far are projects that are funneling traffic to their already running Kickstarter campaign.

Thanks!
Brice

Sure quite a lot of the big campaigns used paid ads, if not all of them. It depends on what your project is...Adespresso did a great writeup of FB Ads for campaigns.

Facebook is a very good platform for collecting leads. Likewise, any social media is a good platform for collecting leads. But the targetting is crucial here. If the targetting is right for the products, it will connect the right people along with it.

Plus also you should target your niche + those who know about Kickstarter and Indiegogo...narrow down that audience to under 1 million.

Ok, so Facebook and a great ad campaign can be the game-changer.

Typically, you’ll see 3-5% of an email list convert into a backer by the end of your campaign. That’s quite low compared to the effort you’ll have to put in to even build the email list.

There is this campaign "Move: A brand new supermarket" https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/sh ... upermarket

They Found Leads 12x More Likely To Become A Backer starting with Facebook Ads.

A person clicks on a Facebook/Instagram ad and is taken to a landing page.
On the landing page, the main call-to-action is to give us their email address so they can get notified when we launch.
This is where the typical lead generation funnel for crowdfunding ends. We took it one step further.
After the person has given their email, we then make an offer for them to put down a $1 deposit to reserve the membership at the best discount and early access to the project.
If they put down the $1 deposit, then they are invited into the closed Move Insiders Facebook Group.

And... The response was so incredible that Move raised the $50,000 they needed within 3 hours.

If you want to learn more about them you can go to the blog: https://crushcrowdfunding.com/how-move- ... unch-day/
