Has anyone created a pre launch page 1st prior to launching their kickstarter campaign?

This is what I plan to do. Any feedback is appreciated.

PRE LAUNCH:

1. Facebook ads (link clicks to my own pre-launch page) till I get 500 leads minimum.
2. Retarget those that did not opt in that watched 50% or more of my pre-launch video.

POST LAUNCH:

1. Email these 500 leads for a chance to win top kickstarter packages using a contest, and a giveaway on top of that.

a. Facebook retarget those who did not join my contest, but who saw 50% or more of my contest giveaway promo video.
b. Facebook retarget those who joined the kickstarter contest giveaway to continue generating entries into contest.


2. Email those who did not enter contest or giveaway with % off coupons during the last week of kickstarter campaign.

3. Continue to engage subscribers throughout the life of the kickstarter campaign.

What's missing here? Can anyone share their pre launch pointers? Any feedback is greatly appreciated.

The points are pretty good. Care to share your Facebook ads setup to collect the leads, so we can go through it?

I think it's essential to do a launch page before you launch. You can't just expect to get all of your backers after the campaign has already launched.

LOL yeah a launch page is a pretty basic tactic, I think everyone does it

Might want to consider cutting down on your retargeting rate. 50% seems kind of high to me.
