HOW BAD OR GOOD WILL A CAMPAING BE AFFECT DURING HOLIDAYS?

Hello, I'm Yvette, I have a campaign almost ready to launch, but I am hesitant in launching the campaign due to the holidays. I was wondering if the campaign will be affected in good or bad.

Ok, the time frame for the video is suppose to state 2mins 25secnds, but it states 10mins 11secnds so please do not be alarmed, the video is not 10mins long! I am going to be resolving the issue tonight! Here is the preview link:

Hey Fvreeman!
It affects! We've started our campaign on 1st of November (Friday + Halloween) at 9 EST. And I really believe that it was our main fault. Do not do it. Never.
I think, that the best day to start campaign is Monday.

Campaigning during the holidays can actually help to boost your campaign's visibility. It depends on how you spin your promotional message to incorporate the holiday's theme with your product and offered perks.

It's definitely a question on my mind too. Looking to launch tomorrow, knowing that I'll have to navigate Thanksgiving (United States) and have to say "probably not" to anyone who asks if they can have their physical rewards by Christmas.
What if I offered something if the campaign raised X amount over Thanksgiving weekend to try to combat the anticipated lull? Just brainstorming here.

You could try including this opportunity in an update (rather than the actual campaign page), that whoever pledges during thanksgiving or whoever increases their pledge during this time will be added to an email list and get X if the campaign is successful.

I think it will depend. If the season is a vacation season, I suspect it will have an impact. I ran mine over August, ending just after a bank holiday weekend. It was not a good time of the year in the UK to run a campaign, but I was successful in the end. I suspect holidays such as thanksgiving and christmas might not impact so much, quite a few people shop online on thanksgiving looking for black friday deals or just to have some time to browse. It would depend on marketing
In general Friday is a good day to launch, especially if it coincides with pay day. Having your campaign end just after a pay day helps as well.
