Hello Kickstarter Forum :)

My name is Jason Mason. I have an denim outerwear company called Mason Industries. We make water repellent, abrasion resistant, 100% breathable, fully lined, stretch denim for snowboarding and action sports. It's high tech on the inside and low tech on the outside. Please click the link below to visit our website.

I will be launching a kickstarter project in early November. My challenge is to reach out to people outside of my current circles to inform the world of my products existence. My goal with this project is to use the money from rewards and backers to pay for the show samples for the full line of Mason Industries outerwear. 3 styles of pants, a denim jacket, a lumberjack style jacket and a tech hoody.

I invite you to review my kickstarter project. I have had friends look at it but they already know me and my company. I feel in an open community like this one which has seen a lot of kickstarter projects and having no idea who I am or what Mason Industries is about would have a high standard and provide more accurate and effective feedback. Please click the link below to review my kickstarter project.

Thank you
I look forward to your feedback

This is a really cool product and I think the video is awesome. When I was a teenager into snowboarding, I would have definitely asked my parents to buy me this.

With regards to the pitch, I don't think it's as strong as your video. The pitch should expand on the video, but share the same format. For example "I'm raising $20,000 to market and promote the Mason Industries brand of outerwear." This is not what you said you would do with the money in the video. You said part of it would be marketing.

I would also break up you pitch with headlines to make it more scannable and easier to read. See: http://www.crowdcrux.com/copywriting-ti ... ter-pitch/

I definitely think your success will hinge on connecting with the snowboarder community and not solely relying on people on Kickstarter. I also think you could really make use of the upcoming christmas holiday by mentioning that this is a great gift for teens and expand your market by targeting parents.

Good advise. I sent a press release to 15 or so different snowboard blog sites. And I added more detail and formatting to my pitch. Thanks again :)
