My Kickstarter project is going to be a national news site, focusing on stories that are pertinent, fact-based, and bite-sized. I'm working on building a social media following but I'm not sure what journalists I should be building relationships with, considering that my site will, fundamentally, be competition to their site. Any ideas? Thanks.

All Journalists in all countries? You could start off with niche sites first, local ones and then generic sites.

Start with one journalist!

The best way to find journalists who could write about your campaign is to look at past projects similar to yours and see who wrote about these projects. Hire a VA on Upwork to do this task so you can focus on tasks where you can bring more value.
