Can you change your bank account after you launch?

I am considering using a US resident for kickstarter so that I can use that platform. I have a US bank account, so unless the person I use can change the bank account after I launch I will be just fine. Has anyone used this successfully?
I really don't understand why kickstarter is for US citizens only. It is discriminatory.
