Hey guys i'm launching in a week, this project http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/bandsofclean/318847860?token=06795147 , can you guys give me a honest feedback?

Also I am using the Crowdfunding media, to help me create media references for this project , how are they ? Is creating media links the best way to draw attention to a project like this?

What would you suggest in order for me to get the word out? How long before i start a project should i start the outreach? I would love to here the process from some of the successful projects out there.

Neat idea. The idea of being a moment away from clean hands appeals to me. I can think of particular cases where i would use it. (I'm not the type to wear a band all the time.)

Some criticism:

The video is pretty good, the voice over, however, is a little too loud (that can be fixed with a remix) and too rigid (that takes a lot of practice to fix), that is, it isn't smooth.

Although the $35 tier gets all five bands. There is no tier to get one band. $35 is a hefty investment for someone who wants just one band.

That's a very good idea and I can really see the demand for that. I personally have a couple of friends who are obsessed of washing their hands all the time so I'm sure they'd love your product. I already sent your preview link to them ;)

I like your video and the voice didn't bother me at all. Text is good and doesn't leave anything unclear. But I agree with chacham3 about the rewards. I understand your point behind that. The most popular pledge is $25 so you want to lift it to $35, am I right? $35 isn't that much and you get 5 bands with it and I think this band is also great idea for a gift (even though you miss the Christmas).

I'd still think again if you want to give one band for a little lower price. Even though you give one band for, for example, $25, many might still pledge for $35 since they get with the extra $10, 4 bands more :)

Good luck with your campaign! I'd really appreciate if you could give some feedback on our project as well: http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/169 ... n=aeaa46bf

The crowdfunding media?

If you can include media links on your campaign, it definitely increases the legitimacy. Another campaigner on the forum did a good job of this: http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/dan ... on-nbcs-to

See the thread here: my-new-kickstarter-campaign-wohhhhooo-t1118.html

I've had people use the CrowdfundingPR logo on their campaign to start off with (the free press release). In addition, the more media attention you can draw from small bloggers to start with, the better. Larger publications will then google your company and see all this press on your Kickstarter and see the story might have traction.

I would start the outreach with smaller blogs before the campaign and medium blogs when you launch. Then when you get some traction in terms of dollars pledge, begin approaching the larger publications (unless you specifically have connections with larger publications from the start)

Thanks. The service i used is called "The Crowdfunding Mafia". They gave me a list of 80 different media sources that would help me with getting the word out on the product. DO you know where I can get small bloggers to blog about our impending kickstarter campaign? http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/bandsofclean/318847860?token=06795147. Where can i also send images of the product?

Hi Kare- It really just comes down to generating a list of small blogs in your niche and reaching out to them. I spent an hour or so on google to generate this list: http://www.crowdfundingpr.org/30-journa ... campaigns/

Another helpful article: http://www.crowdcrux.com/finding-your-t ... ce-online/

p.s. I deleted your post in the lessons learned from running a Kickstarter campaign. Please keep the posts relevant to the discussion (what you have learned from preparation or the launch).

Hi Kare69, when you get a chance could you email me? I wanted to ask you a question about your experience with the crowdfunding mafia: sbriggman@crowdcrux.com

OK. Not a problem. They appear to be legit. I have used them just for resources that I can contact to promote the project.I have gotten some feedback from the media resources they gave me but more will be seen once my campaign starts next week. I will keep you abreast.
