Hey guys. RWP had a great suggestion that we should have trophies and membership statuses on the forum.

I've been using the VIP badge to distinguish individuals who have hit 50 posts and gone through our VIP program, but I agree that we should have some kind of visual representation for the in-between.

Do you like the new stars? Not like them? They are based on your post count.

I'm liking the idea, but maybe it should cut off at 5 star since 5 star is the standard for the highest achievement. Also, it's much easier than my huge list of ideas haha. I definitely support it, and maybe later we will have more visual representations for ranks and such. Hope others like this too!

They are fine, and are typically found on many forums.

You might want to space the requirements for a given star level out a bit more, though.

I don´t mind the star system at all, I actually like it although I also am a newb still.

They are ok, but I preferred my VIP logo which these have replaced!

And I agree with Charles you need to space them out a bit Senior member at 25 posts seems low and what do you need for Veteran - 100? again seems low

@andy - I can look into adding both the VIP logo and the stars this weekend or other logos to replace the text "vip member."

At the moment 100 posts = Veteran Member. I was basing that off the idea that most campaigns are 30-45 days so someone who engaged throughout that period would be a veteran. I'll think about the post count to star frequency more. Ultimately, I'd like to use the star count as a way to give members more benefits like discounts on services or free things.

sbriggman, I like the stars and as others have stated previously, a lot of forums use the star system. Perhaps the VIP logo could be used with the stars once you get to that level.

I'm a fan of Gameful design - so love the Stars! Nice motivation, and a great way to see which folks are long time residents ... or at least extensive posters.

I like the stars — nice visual feedback!
