Hey guys!

I finally got to submit the survey for my reward for Kickstarted: An original feature length documentary film about the crowdfunding revolution.See: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/69 ... -revolutio

They used BackerKit to manage their survey process. I really like BackerKit's user interface. I'm probably going to do a blog post on them in the coming month. P.S. You can use the code "crowdcrux" to get a discount if you ever use them.

I also am going to get an honorary producer credit for the play, Fat Pig, which is being put on in Brooklyn. See: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/18 ... escription

I'm pretty excited to see it, and I'm having a podcast interview coming out with the creator, who raised over $10,000 on Tuesday the 24th. She shares a lot of great tips, particularly if you're looking to raise money in the theater category.

Pretty cool! It's getting much colder in NYC. Looking forward to seeing my family on Thanksgiving. Hope you have a good holiday if you celebrate it!

Sal

Good stuff Mr Briggman. Nice forum by the way. :)

How many projects have you had funded on Kickstarter? Can you give us any feedback on ours?

It's pretty interesting to see that Theater/Arts seemed to be backed by a very tight-knit community on Kickstarter at least, where there are a lot of "serial-backers" for this type of projects.
It's like they have to specifically come to Kickstarter for find these types of projects.
Isn't there a crowdfunding platform or service dedicated to them, or has Kickstarter simply made a move to position itself for these indie/live arts projects, and maybe a bit less tech/games projects that make the most money ?

Honestly, I think it's the opposite. There isn't as much of a regular backing community that I've seen among theater/art projects but there is among games/tech. If others have seen differently, would love to hear your thoughts/experience.

(It's really just from me sampling existing backers and the projects they've interacted with (backing/commenting), so I actually might be completely out of the picture.)
