My very 1st backing

So my very first backing is a game by Venture Moon Industries called Duke Grabowski, Mighty Swashbuckler!. Being an aspiring game developer myself its nice to see revisits to old genres. It's not innovative but it gives me that nostalgic feeling back in the day when I used to play games like Monkey Island. Also I really like the whimsical graphics as well. I like light heartedness when it comes to games. Hopefully I can play and relive my youth once more.

Just backed my first as well, for VidCode. They were a startup in my fellow cohort for an EdTech incubator we went through and are an incredible team. Check em out here: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/20 ... ls-in-mind

"I remember my first time."

Hahaha, but seriously, it was a music project for a collegue of mine. Funded and went on a musicology expedition to Russia. Can't go back there again now though with the Ukraine war though.

Nice one with the Monkey Island-esque backing. Old click and point adventures were great. Looking back my own backings have been very post apocalyptic! I backed After Reset, Underrail and Sheltered recently and bought Project Zomboid on steam. I feel like games, particularly games that give a big nod back to older games, enjoy a huge renaissance thanks to crowd funding.

Well, don't let your first (backing) be your last.

It always amazes me that people create a campaign and they expect support. Yet, they have not backed one, NOT ONE campaign. Don't even think of creating a campaign if you have not backed one.

Again, congrats to you and the others for paying it forward and becoming backers. I tend to back a lot of campaigns. It's not that I donate a lot of money - I don't but I do write a supportive comment and try to spread the word. Never under estimate how much a small donation, along with follow-up support can help a campaign.

The very first project I backed was the Unseen Africa TV Series. It was created by a famous hiker, Francis Tapon who has been walking around Africa for the past two years. I'm glad the project got funded.
