Feral: The Cat With 7 More Lives To Go!

Factoid: There have been a few unrelated projects on Kickstarter named "Feral." Factoid: Feral was a video game project which sought $30,000, attracted $412 from 17 backers by the end of their funding period ( https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/19 ... video-game) and then, having used up one of their 9 lives, did what any feral cat would do. It's baaaack! Feral is back! Feral must hold the record for fastest turnaround and relaunch after unsuccessful funding, because less than a week later, we received the mandatory email announcing the relaunch. Here it is: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1964125504/feral

These guys have guts! More concept art. Same funding goal. Triple the backers and quintuple the funding, so far. But, Kicktraq.com projections are not sounding too optimistic. Thank goodness feral still has 7 lives to go!

Maybe they'll make it. There's certainly enough cat lovers out there to make this thing explode with funding.

I hope they get fully funded. I backed the first one, but am waiting to see if they get close to goal, because I don't want too many unfunded causes in my profile. Incidentally, ever since my landlord probably cooked and ate my tabby after making an unauthorized apartment entry, I've been a dog owner. But, I love video games (heck, I'm married to a mobile game developer---she gave me my first dog, Godzilla, after the Cat With One Life incident)! And, Feral sounds like loads of fun. A cat avatar? Priceless!

Just curious, but why do you not want too many unfunded causes in your profile? I ask, because as far as I, myself, am concerned, it doesn't really matter if the projects in my profile are funded or unfunded. I back projects for all kinds of different reasons, though.

No specific compelling reason as such. I just feel that too many unfunded campaigns backed impresses folk who look at your profile page to weigh whether to back you, get the impression you peeked at all the campaigns ending in one hour, which had raised less than 10% of their funding, and then you clicked to back 500 of them, totally risk-free. Like you, we back campaigns we are attracted to, regardless (or in hopes) of their successful funding chances. But, as a rule, we go with the crowd. We want someone else's campaign to actually succeed, just as we hope ours will too.
