The Story of our Human Skin Textured Paper Set Kickstarter Project –
The road to unwanted gifts’ rebirth and origami creation

A few months ago we were testing with some 3D modelling and happened to start playing with some human skin textures, mapping it on things and like so.

We were blasted with this idea of doing it on paper instead: wrap things up, coat things in human skin, make things become unexpecting, funny and crazy when you send those wrapped gifts to people. (Why not? We think its quite fun among friendly friends)

So we planned out and launched it on Kickstarter a few days ago. Here are some details:

We will scan out skins from different sources, and then created 5 shades of skin tone, naming them RARE, MEDIUM RARE, MEDIUM, MEDIUM WELL and WELL, for users’ preference like so.

We are developing 3 types of products: Gift Wrap | Postcard | Origami Paper

And each type of paper used are different based on the effects and the touching sensation it gives, i.e. for Gift Wrap, front side of the paper will be printed with skin texture pattern together with a matte spot varnishing effect and the backside with the red of fresh; for Origami Paper, we used instead pattern embossed with grain texture. Here are some mockup photos:

The second picture in the first image makes my skin crawl. Cool project otherwise.

Greetings all,

we have updated our project recently displaying the back and front side of our origami paper, just as peeling off our skin softly and tenderly. This is also the reason for having both sides of the paper printed, take a look and share us some thoughts.
