Is it a good idea - Random Acts of Fitness

Hey guys,

I was really looking to get some feedback from some people that aren't too close to me for some honest feed back on my project.

(I asked family and friends, but they claim everything in the campaign is great and somehow at only 10% funded I'm betting there are areas to improve)

The project has 20 backers with 24 days to go and has almost 250 video views.

Some of the things I'm a little concerned about are:
- The clarity of my message and goal
- Quality of the video production (my first real video I've made)

Any advice or support would be GREATLY appreciated!

It's looking pretty good to me! 1/10th of the way there with 23 days to go.

Some of the things below are nitpicky, only because it sounds like that's what you're looking for.

- A bit of volume equalization on the video might be handy. Hard to have them match in the initial footage with the various environments, but a bit of post-pro could likely equalize them all for you (even just grabbing audacity, outputting your audio track, equalizing in audacity then reimporting).

- The humour, pacing and script for the video seem awesome.

- The lead up to product description is a bit long: It's about 1:25 before we know what exactly RAOF is.

- At 2:00 you switch from "Random Acts Of Fitness" to "RAOF". I'd probably stick with the full title for consistency (but I might be wrong on that!)

Most nitpicky: At times reading from the prompter may be getting in the way of connecting with the audience, particularly in the last shot in the video, The cadence and tempo feel more like reading than speaking directly to the audience.

With all that said, it's a great, engaging video, and looks like it has you on a good track.

Thanks so much for the feedback! Exactly the type of things I was looking for.

Volume equalization is definitely something I knew right out the bat, but was very unfamiliar with the tools and have been working with them since to make that better (hopefully my next video will show that)

I was nervous about the script when I had the product intro so late into it, and I was hoping to off set that by having them around me while talking. I'll keep in mind next time that it might be a good idea to lead with "These are our products.... This is what they are for" as opposed to the other way around.

Hadn't even noticed I had switched and I don't know how many times I've watched this! Can definitely be a little confusing.

I'm wanting to get an app out for sure, but have my hands tied at my work with being able to make apps... :'(

Again thanks so much for taking the time and providing the feedback, I'm always looking to try and get better, hopefully you'll see some of your tips in any future updates! :)

The script was great, and well executed - definitely my tips are more nudges than sledgehammers.

I liked that it started with the motivator: the buzz right now about dangers of sitting too long - just would cut to the products sooner.

I think it would be great for an app to recognize when another member was near and it would alert you. would make it fun to be walking down the street and two strangers have to stop, drop and do some push ups
