I just relaunched my first kickstarter campaign yesterday at a significantly lower goal ($750 compared to $6,500). So far we are off to a good start and have hit 18% in the first day without only 4 of our previous backers. Once the others re-pledge we should be around 85% funded!

The MiGO is a leather minimalist wallet. It's handcrafted from high end goat leather, and made to hold everything you need. The main goal when designing the MiGO was making it user friendly, yet compact.

I'd love to know what other adjustments you made to your campaign when you relaunched. What sort of things did you learn for the second time around?

Honestly, besides adding a few more graphics and pictures, significantly lowering the funding goal was the only thing.

I think it helped tremendously. After 3 days we are already at 42% of our goal and are still waiting on a few backers from the first campaign to re-pledge, which should bring us into the 80-90% range.

One tool that has been good to use is Buffer. It lets you preschedule your social media posts. So instead of hopping on twitter and facebook 5-6 times a day, all I need to do it draft some tweets and schedule them each evening. You can even reuse the tweets that get you the best responses (they have an analytics tool).

I'm also getting ready to try out Green Inbox. It's a tool to mass private message your social media network. From what I can tell it seems pretty useful and should be well worth the investment (is costs ~$30 for 500 messages). A good number of my pledges are from my personal network and I know there are others that would be interested by haven't found out about it yet.

The last tool I like to use is sharing. Asking for pledges is obvious, and some people will see you as a pushy salesman. But if you just as for them to share the link to your campaign it's easy. I even set up a page where you can share our campaign with 3 clicks:

After day 1 of using Green Inbox, I got 4 pledges ($128) from their messages and have 1 more day of messages (700 total). Some notes:

-It can come off as spammy if your message is not crafted properly
-It would be nice to be able to edit individual people's messages. There are a few people whose Facebook names are either not their first name, or they go by something else.

I love the MiGO man! Very sleek!

That is good to know you can restart a campaign. I wasn't sure on the details about previous campaigns. That gives me a little bit of relief.
