How persistent with Press releases

If you send a press release to some tech blog and you don't hear from them. How long you wait until sending them a press release again?

I'm doing the press releases myself and they are evolving, hopefully for better, so I want to resend it to some blogs I have already sent one a week ago. Is that a reasonable time to wait before resending?

I've sent a few out with no reply thus far. I think it needs to get posted on one initially for credibility before others will even bother with it...

Consider working with someone who has had success? Reach out to someone you've backed who has already done it. Send them a message asking for their contacts?

Generally, the best way to pitch is to first send a press release to your target person-and then follow-up by telephone.

I picked this up from the following website:

Hope this helps.

A lot of people I've talked to who ran successful crowdfunding campaigns believe paying 2-300 bucks for the PR services is worth it. We'll probably do the same for our campaign next week.

Thanks for the comment. I basically don't have budget for paid PR, although now I having some anyway.
I also read that for technology blogs, they often prefer to talk with startup founders rather than PR agencies.

Let me know if you have any success, I am in the same boat as you. I've been sending it out all over the place, but no luck so far. I may try a paid release on PRweb.

I'm glad that I read this thread because to be honest I have not planning on resending Press Releases that I sent out before, but I will now. Thanks.
