Newbie, and willing to share.

Here is my first Kickstarter project:
https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/ma ... board-gameI didn't know what I was doing, and that's why I did this - to learn. I'd do it differently now, but oh well. I'm going to do another one after this, and hopefully I'll do better.
Anybody have any sharing ideas?

Seems like it's going well so far. What would you do differently?

Thanks.
I would have done a lot of things differently, but mostly I would have made it simpler and shorter. I would have left the genetic code out of it.

I like it! I just tweeted it to my (very small) crowd of followers on twitter. Seems fun!

That was quite amazing. I checked out the project and I actually thought it was amazing! If this were my project I would definitely have had it shorter so potential backers wouldn't have to read very long. I would take out the stuff about code world, how many pieces there are, and the things that don't talk about how great your toy is. You want to explain to people why they should help your toy become the next big thing, not why you're toy was thought to be too confusing (this definitely is an issue). I think this has potential to be absolutely stunning though! I hope for the best in your project and if it isn't successful this time around I would redo it! Improve it and make it successful

I don't think it needs to be shorter. In fact, it was very informative, to the point, and entertaining. Great idea, with massive potential.

I'm not sure why you are speaking as if the campaign is over, it's not too late to revamp things and change things around if you're not happy.

Stay positive! Keep pushing and find all your friends to help spreading the words. Look or the board games or card games forum and promote your new idea. Is there any card games and board games shop locally? Pay a visit and talk to the folks I guess.
I just launched my first campaign myself and I too have no idea what I was doing. It will come together. I just keep talking to my friends and ask them to help spreading the words.
Best Regards,
Chris.

There's a lot of reading, some of it looks quite technical! But then my kickstarter campaign also has a lot of reading too, I used a similar tactic to you, trying to break up the big blocks of text with a few well-placed photographs!
This toy does look ingenious actually, I will share this with my Twitter followers for you (just 600 though)
Best of luck

Thanks, everybody.
These things are an emotional roller coaster, and it helps to share that with others who know.
