Great idea to have a place to post my kickstarter updates. I just launched the projected about a couple of hours ago. I've had one of my friends pledge and that is super exciting :) Anyway, I will be sure to update you all on my strategies and see how we go. So far I've posted to my facebook https://www.facebook.com/deckofdreamsand tumblr http://mindgardendeckofdreams.tumblr.com/. I'll be doing more tomorrow!

Day 2 - 3

So it was a work day for me so I didn't get much chance to work on the project. I spoke to a couple of people about it and will be updating my page (on my website) with more information on how people can support me - seems like a couple of my friends are new to the kickstarter concept.

yeah, i've found people don't quite understand what's going on. like, my dad saw all the posting, so he went to my website and ordered a book through paypal. haha! sweet, but not exactly what I meant, so as well as promoting the project, there's a lot of working to explain exactly what it is!

Thanks for that story, I wonder if there are any resources out there that explain it. I've seen it on the Kickstarter site on some of the projects that let people know how to back the project and I'm sure Kickstarter explains it too. I'm going to speak/write to my friends/network and let them know how they can support (pledge/share/connect) etc

Day 4 onwards.
Have not done much promoting, haven't had as much time to focus on this as I would like. Have started a twitter @mgBumptoBaby will be good just to keep informed and post parent and baby related things. Maybe too late for this project, but good for future.

Hey guys. My experience also reflects yours. There is a large percentage of people who don't know what Kickstarter is or how it works. Creators sometimes have to do a little bit of education. Talked about that more in this article: http://www.crowdcrux.com/what-no-one-te ... ou-launch/

I would recommend creating a document explaining how to support you (possibly with screenshots). I might put a basic document together in the coming weeks that creators can use.

Thanks for the follow! I'm managing two twitter accounts at the moment and it's tricky, I'm looking forward to the weekend so I can focus on my project more.

@edibleangela I really like your project idea, good to meet a fellow Aussie :)
