Greetings fellow kickstarter pioneers! Well today is the day for my indie film scifi kickstarter launch.

I saw this forum section for people wanting to share their stories of victory and or struggle and I decided why not contribute by updating this thread with my own experience of my first campaign. This is day one..

The table is set., the journey just beginning.

First of all, let me say that although I have a ways to go, that first $25 dollars feels like a million bucks!

I didn't even read any of your project page. I clicked on the video, and while some of the effects are much better than others, this is something that I would watch, if it came on TV or Netflix.

A small pledge, but I backed it.

I have an older youtube channel featuring some of my material (channel name:manbird12000). I've been locked out of it for a long time. with 11 million views and just short of 2500 subscribers...........and no access to them! So I will have to start fresh with my new youtube page and try to migrate the audience to it as well.

I'm not getting the warm and fuzzy feeling from the services which preport to bring you fresh backers. I'm very skeptical, and I surely do not want to throw money down the drain.

That's just a small aspect of the campaign...24/7 work to do. Will post more later...
