Voss Soss - Worlds Best* BBQ Soss

I've started my kickstarter for my BBQ Soss (misspelling of Sauce intentional)... as it's a play on my last name.

Anyway, I've noticed that a lot of food type items (minus the joke of a potato salad guy) doesn't get much attention.

Hoping this is just a fluke and I can raise the remaining $5000 in the 20 days left. If you guys have an idea on how else I can share or promote this besides social media (Facebook, Twitter, etc) emailing friends and family, or just talking incessantly about it.. let me know.
I would email it out at work, but that's a no-no.

I still have work to do on the video.. and plan to do a voice over.

*World's best claim by me, and some of my friends... not an actual fact...yet

Sitting at $2585 with basically 4 days left.. doesn't look hopeful at this point, but I'm not giving up!
I've added a couple of videos and did a voice over on the main presentation. I've been Tweeting and Facebooking.. not sure where else to go..

Hey Matt... I would have liked to see a better video. Someone using it as the examples you gave, a dip, marinade, injection, or salad dressing, then eating it, with testimonials. We can not see what's in the jar. If you relaunch, I'd also like to see a website and facebook page, and make the labels on the jar more visually appealing.

Thanks for the tips. Will consider it if I relaunch the campaign.

If the project fails, which seems likely, just relaunch it.

But, do some work on the page. Your video is the equivalent of a boring old teacher droning on and on. You're not even in the film. No people are in the film. I want to see people tasting it, eating it, scarfing it down. You've taken an approach that isn't oriented towards the social aspect of eating BBQ. Why is it called social media? Because of the social element. The social element is people.

Your page has a gas mask gimmick photo. I watched the video. I know that you need that mask for making the hottest sauce. Big deal! That's no substitute for plastering your page with photos of people enjoying what you are trying to persuade others on.

Your jars have those plain labels on them, giving your sauce the visual significance of being a generic brand. You need some REAL labels. You want them to grab people's attention, to tempt them to click that project video. Your project image is boring as Hell. It's bland. It generates zero excitement from me, as I look at it. How do you intend to excite people using boring visuals?

I want to see people try that really hot version. That will make for entertainment that people can share and laugh together, at.

Not showing the sauce in action won't make anyone's mouth water.

Re-launch it, and do it right!

Thank you for your brutally honest critique. I will remember that on my next campaign, if I relaunch.

Look at it this way Matt - your project obtained almost four thousand dollars in pledges. That demonstrates potential. It's certainly not chicken feed. You won't get any of it, if your project doesn't meet its funding goal, but plenty of Kickstarter projects have been relaunched after initially failing.
