So this is the Mid- Campaign Slump?

Hello everyone!
I have a project running called Semi. It’s a supernatural-comedy comic about a little girl striving to become the leader of a gang. It was off to a very good starter for the first two weeks and reached 59% funding. However starting a day ago, things have slowed down to the point of ‘nothingness’.
I’ve read many articles about the mid-slump that takes place during campaigns and the things you can do to get pass them, however I don’t feel as if the effort I’m making is producing results. I have gotten quite a few features, mentions and even interviews but they never translate into backers. I also receive a lot of positivity of people, they say the project looks great (but never back) or they are backers and are overly positive that it is doing great and will succeed.
In regards to my last statement… I’m I missing something? Where is all this positivity coming from?
All in all if there are any suggestions you may have or if anyone else is going through a mid campaign slump and wants to share I'd love to hear your thoughts.

Our campaign is having a slow start up- makes me worried. Hope yours gets back up to speed. I will check it out! Here is my campaign.

I think it has to do mainly with KS. Once in the middle of a campaign you are not in the Recently created portion and less people view the project.

Ah, I see. That makes sense. I actually thought of that earlier today. I noticed that my project had dropped down to the fourth page and I realized that people probably couldn't see it! However when I campaign is close to ending I think they are pushed forward to front of the page which could explain a increase of backers that most projects see (other then the 48-hour notice).
I wonder if there is anyway for Kickstarter to make better search options?

My campaign is starting to slow but I have added a stretch goal to keep my trend going. I believe that it helps avoid the "mid campaign slump"

Thank you!
Still though... There was a HUGE slump for about 4-5 days! It was driving me crazy to say the least. I really wish there was some way to prevent this from happening to us. I also hope Kickstarter puts in better methods of search by the time a launch my campaign for Volume Two Print. (that won't be for another 20 months though, I want to make sure I plan ahead because with this one... I didn't, in fact my comic has only been around for FOUR MONTHS so the fact it's gotten this far is amazing! D=)

Love to see art projects get fully funded. Its inspiring for sure. Congrats and the artwork here looks great. I'll have to prepare for a slump.
I'm curious to know what kind of promo you did?
Thanks

I've been getting this question a lot. It's actually really simple. (but you can't expect to get much of a result through just one of these methods so you have to do EVERYTHING) I just paid for advertisement, used Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr and DeviantArt. I also contacted website and got interviews and features. It was really important to push the project on as many people as possible- especially because my comic is very new. It's only been online for 4 months and my fanbase is only around 1,000. Then I had issues reaching my fanbase because I didn't have a actual website. Just a website I was hosted on... therefore I had no way to email those fans and let them know about the project...
I ... had to really do a lot of legwork. I also went to local comic book shops and passed out flyers.
Really, everything that you can think of, do it. If you have a art project/comic/anything (and it looks great) you can get funded with little to NO fanbase. My project is proof of this. You just have to put the leg work in! After it's funded though, people are more likely to donate more and up their pledges.
I hope that helps!
