Hey, I'm Harrison Caldwell and I just launched a new project to bring cameras to Uganda, Africa and teach a few Ugandans how to support themselves through photography. Then write about in a diary and a make a photobook about the experience. I was asked specifically to do this, by people currently living there, to help out a few people in a country where opportunities are limited.

I know I'm going to have a hard time gaining traction with all the fund my vacation kickstarters. So I'm a bit worried. Its a now or never type thing. So any advice to help rise above those would be great.

You can few the project here http://kck.st/1jLRYbb and tell me what you think.

Also, I will use this as my blog to keep people updating on the goings of it.

Definitely a good cause. Regarding hoe to rise above the rest, you need to get the needle moving as quickly as possible via direct outreach to friends and family so that you will trend on Kickstarter in the beginning and gather pledges from strangers (or at least the opportunity to be seen).

I'm just glad that you didn't shoot me down. I was trying to raise awareness and the people don't want to believe my story. Calling it Potato Salad Envy. I'll get on it! I know the first moments are very crucial.
