I recently started a Kickstarter campaign, to record an album while backpacking through Southeast Asia. After 5 days, I've hit the $100 mark. Just getting warmed up!

If you'd like to check out the campaign, here it is! https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/2067185923/recording-an-album-in-bangkok-thailand

Awesome! I just hit mine a few days ago as well. Good luck the rest of the way.

Thanks. I had the same idea as you. Quit my job and go to Southeast Asia. Did the first part a year ago but never made it to the second part of the idea.

Congrats! My project just started and I too am looking for some feedback/thoughts. My wife and I are self funding and starting a nano-brewery in the Fairfax, VA area called "Twinpanzee Brewing Co":

@filtyting - good luck with your project, hope it goes well.

@twinpanzeebrewingco - I wonder if you should open up your rewards beyond the US - The UK has a proud history of brewing and micro-breweries and CAMRA (Campaign for Real Ale) has a strong membership who may support a project for a cool t-shirt! Belgium, Germany, France, Holland are also big on brewing.

@andy - Good point on the UK. Might make fulfilling rewards a bit more challenging, but something worth considering to cater to a broader audience.
