I am announcing the launch of my awesome sci-fi short film We Can Speak to the Dead, which delves into questions of gender and technology in the 21st century. It's going to be an awesome, mind-bending experience. Check out my pitch trailer and story here:

For all of you film nerds out there, imagine early David Cronenberg mixed with Michael Haneke mixed with Kelly Reichart. It's going to be an eerie, practical effects focused sci-fi, raising questions about consciousness and autonomy. I would love to get it made in time for Sundance consideration this year, so long as we can get funded by our date.

Good luck on the project. How's it going so far?

It started off really well, with close friends and family donating a large amount very quickly. But now I've been stagnant for a few days and I don't know how to get it going again. I'm tweeting but I don't have many followers, and I'm posting on as many forums as I can, as well as emailing bloggers and trying to get the word out that way. How do I get people I don't know to become interested?
