Two strategies that worked for a Kickstarter

My wife's Kickstarter will fund her trip to Italy to study pottery with a ceramic superstar. She is at 76% with 11 days remaining. She lucked into two strategies that have delivered results.

1. She contacted members of her professional organization she met at a conference this spring. Her project and rewards fit the mission of the organization. This group is interested in a reward where Kathy teaches to a group glazing techniques she will learn in Italy. $500 for the group of 5 students.

2. Just before going live with her Kickstarter a friend suggested the following reward --- $40 - Minne-Italy Workshop. People will come to Kathy's studio where they will watch slides from her learning experience. Taste Italian food and get a chance to glaze a ceramic tile using techniques she learned. She's had eight people back at this level and she nearly pulled it from the list.

You can see her project here

Thanks,

Tony

The Minne-Italy experience is doing well - Kathy has 12 backers at this level.
And to think we nearly pulled this offer. She will be serving Italian food that night -- so we don't know what we are going to do for that. And do we need music? I would think.
