I have launched my Kickstarter campaign, and still seeking about $400, but I also have 12 days. It's a movie podcast, but

different than others that are out there. We are tackling important and memorable films found on AFI's Top 100, and taking 2

films each episode, sharing 1 commonality. By comparing and contrast likeness and difference, we gain interesting takeaway

and perspective. All technical nerdiness aside, My panelists comes with personality and humor, as well. Episodes include

Temple of Doom & Terminator (both released in 1984)
Alien & Aliens
Harry Potter & The Chamber of Secrets & Lord of the Rings: Fellowship of the Ring (both released in 2001)
The Shining & Friday the 13th (both released in 1980)

What's your impression of crowdfunding and Kickstarter as a first-time user?

Well, I'm just getting to know Crowdfunding, but Kickstarter seems to be exactly that. Great interface, but 90% of my funding so far has come from outside sources. I figured I have resources I'm just not utilizing. What are your thoughts?

That's a pretty good indication that 90% has come from outside sources.

I think it's an awesome tool! Especially with the new media mediums in the last 10 years like social media, blogs, online video, etc. Just look at the effect it's had on the reading rainbow campaign. levar-burton-reinvents-reading-rainbow-on-kickstarter-t2311.html

Yes - it's very difficult to maintain momentum. I just read a post today that was interesting on that topic via some creator on Medium. Might be helpful? https://medium.com/@glennf/i-get-my-kic ... 67a955ce2f

Hey there!

I understand how you feel. I have felt the same way about my Kickstarter. I am really struggling to keep up momentum, and with only 6 days left am constantly wondering how to update and keep things fresh. For my project we have added video updates to try and keep things moving.

@preludeinseattle - It's definitely a constant challenge. What type of campaign are you running? Have you tried any in-person grassroots marketing or flyers?

With three days left, I am already planning my re-launch, while still holding onto hope for the immediate future.
In the future, Pre-launch planning will be a more major role in my campaign. I needed to get more people on board launch. Save a 'big reveal' for the actual launch, and close friends and family should already be familiar with your project prior to launching. With three days, I need support and love!
