Relaunched my failed kickstarter. I hope I've learned from my mistakes. If anyone is interested please check it out. Thanks.

What lessons did you learn? What mistakes did you make? Frankly, I wouldn't start out describing myself as a struggling_____. I think it paints a dim picture. Just my two cents. Cheers.

The biggest mistake I made when I first attempted to kickstart this project was that I got lazy after seeing a few donations come in - I assumed they would just continue to trickle in until my goal was met.

I also didn't look too far beyond my facebook, reddit and the odd forum as promoting it went. I've learned that you have to become a vocal member of many forums and online communities for this to succeed, as well as maximize facebook, twitter and personal blog. I totally underestimated the amount of effort needed the first go-around.

And by the way, I see your point about the "struggling" part... I've since changed it. Thanks.

5 days left on this kickstarter. I've tweeted it to death. I've facebooked it to death. I've forumed it to death Lol.

If it's unsuccessful, would Indiegogo be better suited. They accept paypal and I know some people are reluctant to use their Credit Cards online. Anyway to generate more traffic to the kickstarter page or any advice at all is greatly appreciated.

Okay, Looking at my dashboard, I've only got 55 video plays with a 33.6% completion rate. And all my pledges but one are listed as coming from "Direct traffic (no referrer information)",

A better video is a must I guess. Would Indiegogo be a better fit for this? I'm worried if I launch a third kickstarter I'll look desperate. Is it normal to run multiple times before successful?

I have seen people who have launched three Kickstarter before being successful on this forum. I'm not sure if Indiegogo would yield better results to be honest.

That's awesome that you are trying again! I have found that in the publishing world, it's best to cultivate a thick skin!!!
