I'm producing a new line of gamebooks, with the first having already been written, and more in the pipeline. I also have a kickstarter drive, which is currently active:

Seems like you are pretty close to your goal. What has been the breakdown of strangers vs. your own social network?

Thanks, yes it's been a great start. It's pretty much a 50/50 split for both numbers of backers and values of rewards. It's quite gratifying to be backed by total strangers - it really validates the whole project.

That's awesome . Be sure to treat them like gold. They can provide some great testimonials or reviews when you ship out your rewards.

Just an update to this which may interest potential backers and other kickstarters:

Wow! This really took off. 50% funded after two days, 75% funded after four, and then...plateau.

The graph for me had really flattened out at 90% - still with two weeks to go of course - and I find myself staring forlornly at my BB for the little red flash of joy. Nothing.

I guess this is common phenomenon, a rush of genuinely interested backers, followed by the almost accidental, followed by (I hope) a late rush. Lots of people have mentioned backing it, and ha!, I guess it's impolite to shuffle them along to satisfy my own lust for success!

How is it for others?
