I fell flat on my face, but I will return!

Hey guys, I am not proud of it, but I failed. I knew after 24 hours that I had failed, the following 29 days were just motivation to try harder the next attempt. I jumped right into an Indiegogo campaign and expected the traffic to find it's way to me and my project, but that's not how it works.
After digging into it more, you'll learn that you may have the coolest product, an awesome video, polished website and content, but that isn't enough! You need to capture the platform (Kickstarter or Indiegogo) by storm. Preferably in the first 24-48 hours so that you can trend. This is why I am really focusing on building my mailing list and ensuring that I have the backing to fund my project, FULLY, ahead of time.
So, I will be back to post my success story in a few months. Until then, I will be building my following and focusing on making a name for myself.
Things I have done so far, that have driven emails to my site include;
1.) Word of mouth to my friends (Facebook) - 50% of emails
2.) Survey Monkey with a call to action - 35% of emails
3.) Social Media (Reddit, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn) - 10% of emails
4.) Organic traffic to my site (SEO) - 5% of emails
