Here is the gist of how I personally raised 33% of my fundraising goal on Indiegogo.
Identify Key Connectors (close friends and believers in your cause) and get them to commit to back the project on day one. Before this, however, you will have them do some pre-campaign buzz for you (about one month before launch). Make it easy for them to share the campaign and invite friends.
Next get a core team that will be helping with the campaign. Leverage their networks and delegate responsibilities to them. Be sure to plan pre-campaign, during-campaign and post-campaign assignments. Things will get busy and you want to be able to fulfill and deliver to all and on time.
Lastly, you should be gathering as many pre-campaign pledges as possible. This is the soft close that will make it easier for your network to actually give you money when it counts. Not only that it helps you assess what you might actually bring in since IGG recommends that you bring in 30% of your funds through personal contacts.

Emailed team letting them know that the campaign was live at 7:43 AM
12 hours into campaign we were at $995 and 27 backers, 20% of $5,000 goal
13 hours into campaign our project was trending on Indiegogo in Education and All Categories
24 hours into campaign $1,647, 42 backers, 33% funded
