Tips to get noticed by Kickstarter Staff

Hi guys!
I have a tip to share: as you might know.. it's important to be noticed by the Kickstarter staff.
Kickstarter checks Google News (google alert) daily, so if you're in there.. they might check out your project and make it a ''staff pick''
These 2 websites make you appear in Google News:
http://www.onlineprnews.com/http://www.1888pressrelease.com/I tried it last week and it works. All you have to do is upload your press release with the right links (to the Kickstarter website) in it.
Good luck!!!

Thats awesome, we will have to use these links. I just want to know, if the Kickstarter Staff notices your Kickstarter, how much does that influence people who would want to donate to your project.

First, thanks for sharing!!!
Next, I tried the link to your KS page, but it's NOT featured by the KS staff. What do you mean by saying "it works"?

Do you think appearing on the top of Kickstarter's search results really matter much? It seems to me that all the backers at least for my project have been through people I have reached out to. Also, it seems hard to believe that people go on KS for casual browsing unless someone was directed there. I know it seems silly. Also, haven't really seen any results with snowball effect. I tried crowdsourcing with Thunderclap and all the people who pledged support were people I knew and reached out to directly. The amount of Facebook friends, twitter followers, etc. didn't seem like it brought any visibility.

I agree. It seems impossible to get noticed by people not already known. We are going to try a campaign again, bu pt first testing in preview what happens .... So far we are having mixed feeling if pushing forward or not

I'll definitely have to check these out. It's always good to use whatever resources you have to get the word out about your product/campaign.

I will definitely check out those links! It's day one of my campaign but I already feel like I'm not doing enough. I had read that the first few days are very important to getting noticed by the staff - having a high influx of supporters right off the bat will filter your page up to the front of the site and make the staff take notice.
