Wow! Excellent strategies! Well, what can I say, except that our campaign is already underway, and it's impractical to look in the rear view mirror.

For our own active campaign, we decided to reduce the risk of an unsuccessful funding campaign, and so decided to emulate the Potato Salad dude as far as setting a funding goal. Of course, we have overshot our very modest (and impractical) funding goal by leaps and bounds, but we are still at least $1,000 shy of the minimum target we need to print our lovely book. I like that idea too. If we don't already know them, how do we find them on FB or Twitter? Looking through my 98 backers, I don't see any links to social media.

Thank you so much for sharing that article. I've been doing some research on my own and read several for tips and advice already and this one was really really good. Some tips I've already started implementing from the get go. There are some really good learnings and best practices even tho my campaign is a different category it still translates well.
