That's a good article, Sal. The devil is in the details, and stories like this really help to flesh out people's thinking, and help them to refine how that they approach their own crowd funding project.

I am quite lucky as i am only trying to promote a project and get some awareness to it.
from talking to Craig he was already aware of most of the costs and what would be used .
But from reading this forum and other pages it does seem to be a factor where alot of people don't do any plans to what money will be used for when they come up with figures.
articles like this should be read before hand just so you know what you are getting into, and avoid ending up making promises you can keep and end up on scams page :-S
