Is it ok to launch a campaign in summertime? Does it influence the number of backers?

I am launching mine tomorrow 10:00 AM New York Time.
With all pre-launch coordinated, I am still pretty nervous. But we all keep our fingers crossed.

I have to admit I had not thought about there being a best time to launch the project. What factors would make the most difference? My project has already launched, though, so we'll see how it goes. Check it out!

I heard the best time on mondays. Is that true?

I was sceptical about the launching on Monday is best idea, till I came across this website that analyses posts that trend on reddit based on day of publication:

We're launching the month before school starts to get all the back to school buzz. (Project is math ed based.)

But I'm wondering if we shouldn't overlap the campaign with a week or two at the beginning of school also.

Might be worth it.

Haha, what that really says is not to launch on Saturdays.

I think weekdays are the best time to launch.
