Competing Projects on Kickstarter - Should I Wait

I was about to launch my project on Kickstarter, when all of a sudden, last night, TWO competing projects showed up.

My project is the HOVERSTORM HOVER BOARD. It's a tilt-rotor quad copter drone with heavy lift capabilities. It's also going to be an Open Source project.

I am still in the process of editing my campaign, and last night two competing projects showed up.

and

BOTH of these projects attracted huge funding upon their introduction. My project rewards are much less expensive then the ones offered by these. Almost 50% less expensive.

I have two schools of thought, one is to launch my product at the same time as the others and compete directly with them. The other is to wait.

Does anyone have any ideas ? I know this happened when 3D printers started appearing on Kickstarter.

Hmm... that's a tough question. If I were running the campaign, I would be more inclined to wait and sort of track their progress - see which websites they get on, etc, and use that to build a blueprint for yours.

That's kind of what I was thinking. I was also thinking of adding one feature that I have been playing with, but did not think it was ready. I was actually thinking of launching it as a second campaign. The feature is IP Telemetry and Video. What that means simply is that you can control the drone via a secure TCP/IP connection.
