What is the best Kickstarter advice you have received?

Mine would have to be the critical honey moon period where, if you raise enough funds, you can increase the chances that your project will become popular and be seen by more members of the community (need to take advantage of first few days/week).

My best advise would be to cater more to the international community and not limit only to the US.

Same as sbriggman. If you can do that the more likely you are to succeed.

Have friends and family ready to be back you the day you launch, and have plenty of coffee ready for the first day :)

Don't get complacent thinking that people will automatically filter in. A lot of people think something's just gonna come around and do your job for you, putting every spare moment into it gets you the best results.

I have seen projects receive more than half of funding in its final days. So I guess from that you can get the notion to never give up.

@trex - That's true. It always surprises me the variety of campaigns that are out there.

The best KS advice is visit kickstarterforum.org before launching the campaign. :)

Marketing, marketing, marketing. Don't expect backers will visit your KS project simply it is posted on the KS website.
