Hi everyone,
I'm exploring ways to make my small business more sustainable, especially when it comes to packaging. Currently, I'm looking into eco friendly alternatives for sandwich wraps and other food packaging items.
While researching, I came across a helpful resource that offers insights into using greaseproof paper, wax wraps and biodegradable packaging solutions
Branded Wraps. It provides some useful information about materials and designs for sustainable food wraps.
Does anyone here have experience with switching to eco-friendly packaging? I'd love to hear your thoughts or recommendations on reliable suppliers and what to consider when making this transition.
Looking forward to learning from your experiences!

This is a fantastic initiative! Switching to eco-friendly packaging can be a great way to reduce your environmental impact and appeal to eco-conscious customers.
Here are a few thoughts and suggestions:
Consider your needs: What kind of packaging do you need? Do you need to keep food hot or cold? How long does the food need to stay fresh?
Explore different materials:
Greaseproof paper: As you mentioned, it's a good option, but it may not be suitable for all applications.
Wax wraps: Beeswax wraps are a great alternative to plastic wrap, but they may not be as durable for all uses.
Biodegradable bags and containers: Look for options made from materials like cornstarch, sugarcane, or bamboo.
Find reliable suppliers: Look for suppliers that use recycled materials or offer compostable options. Consider supporting local businesses whenever possible.
Communicate your sustainability efforts: Let your customers know about your commitment to eco-friendly packaging. This can help build customer loyalty and attract new customers.
I've personally had good experiences with [mention a specific supplier of eco-friendly packaging, if you have one]. They offer a wide range of options and are very helpful in finding the right solutions for my business.
What are your thoughts? What challenges are you anticipating in making this transition?
